PLEXR Bristol
Introducing PLEXR
Bristol and The South West’s newest advanced skin treatment, the revolutionary PLEXR treatment is now available at pamperbanana Metro Spa, one of Bristol’s leading PLEXR clinics, offering non-surgical Blepharoplasty. Our aesthetics Doctor uses PLEXR to address lots of concerns relating to the removal of unwanted, excess skin without the need for surgery. PLEXR (Soft Surgery) is an innovative system created and designed to avoid hazards and complications linked to surgeries performed using the traditional techniques. Results are immediate, with little down time and suitable for most clients regardless of ongoing medical conditions.
With age, we gradually lose the tone and elasticity of our skin, leading to the development of excess skin on parts of the face and body. One area in particular that shows signs of ageing and excess skin are the eyelids, giving a ‘hooded eye’ look. This can be very noticeable, even to the point where clients may have impaired vision because of the excess skin around the eye lid area.
What areas can be treated with PLEXR?
- Upper and/or lower eyelids, non-surgical blepharoplasty
- Smokers lines
- Face and neck tightening
- Brow lift
- Upper arms
- Stretch marks
- Benign skin lesions, i.e. warts, moles
- Acne
- Scarring

Why Choose PLEXR?
PLEXR uses plasma energy (Sublimation) to transition a substance directly from a solid to a gas to remove the very top surface of the skin causing the fibres to tighten. Because only the surface layers of the skin are being treated, there is no bleeding or cutting involved.

Consultations
A complimentary consultation is given to every new client at our Bristol PLEXR clinic, to give advice on which areas will be suitable for treatment. Our Aesthetics Doctor is able to carry out all PLEXR treatments within the confines of pamperbanana Metro Spa. All consultations are private and confidential; although you will be required to sign a consent form before any treatment is administered. Before and after photos will be taken, so you can visibly see the results and compare potential future treatments.

How is PLEXR Treatment carried out?
Local anaesthetic cream is applied to the areas of skin to be treated. It will take approximately 30 minutes for the anaesthetic cream to work, in which time clients can relax, enjoy a drink and read a magazine or have a Spa treatment which will need to be pre-booked to coincide with the PLEXR treatment.
During the treatment, the PLEXR probe is held just above the area of skin being treated which causes the plasma energy to be directed to the treatment area. The very top layer only of skin is sublimated (removed) after which, the skin appears with tiny brown dots. You will be able to see the results once the area has been treated.
Afterwards, a special oxygenated makeup is applied which contains high levels of sunscreen. You will be colour matched with a makeup, designed to fully cover the treated area to protect it and make it look less obvious whilst healing. It is imperative that this makeup is used up to 6 times per day to ensure complete coverage whilst the skin heals, for the duration of around six weeks. This helps dry the treated area and protects it from sun damage as the skin heals. Depending on the amount of loose skin, up to three treatments are recommended for best results.
Here you can see one eye has been prepared with the anaesthetic cream while the other has undergone the PLEXR procedure

Do I need to take time off of work?
Many people can return to work straight after having a PLEXR treatment done; however, as some treatment areas are more noticeable than others, clients may prefer to book a treatment when they can work from home or when on annual leave. The treated area may appear slightly swollen, red and mildly sore for the first few days. After about 4-7 days, the dry skin (tiny brown dots) flake off naturally, revealing slightly pink skin but no scarring as long as the area is kept clean, dry and is not picked at during the healing process, as this may lead to unwanted pigmentation and possible infection.
-
What Is the Aftercare?
You will not be able to use your normal cleanser and toner until the flakes of skin have dropped off. In the meantime keep the area fastidiously clean with mild soap and water then pat dry, to ensure that the treated area remains as dry as possible and to avoid infection. After about week, clients will be able to revert to their usual skincare routine.
pamperbanana Metro Spa recommends the use of Environ Vitamin A based products in conjunction with PLEXR treatments to ensure best results. Environ Colostrum Gel in particular is ideal to promote healing, reduce redness to sensitive or damaged skin and also has antibacterial properties. Keep using the Oxygenating makeup/sunscreen as directed by your practitioner.
Please ask your therapist about the massive benefits of using Environ Skincare. Before and after pictures are available for you to see on request.
