Post Hair Transplant

Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy injections are a proven hair loss treatment that can help to regenerate and promote hair growth in both men and women by using their own plasma and growth factors to target areas of hair loss.

PRP is widely used in Hair Transplantation for Men in Bristol to encourage and stimulate the growth of transplanted hair as the PRP improves follicle viability during and after transplantation. This results in the enhancement of post transplantation tissue healing, promoting new hair growth in the transplanted follicles.

Thinning Hair or Temporary Alopecia

PRP is also used to stimulate the growth of thinning hair: typically Dr Beggin would use PRP to treat a client suffering with androgenetic alopecia, a common condition which causes the hair follicles to shrink. What is Platelet-Rich Plasma?

PRP, also known as autologous conditioned plasma is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from whole blood, centrifuged to remove red blood cells. 

The Treatment Process

Dr Beggin takes the clients blood and then spins it in a centrifuge, separating the PRP from the rest of the blood. She will then re-inject the plasma into the site of hair loss. The treatment is minimally invasive and quick to administer,  therefore your levels of discomfort should also be minimal. 

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

A course of treatments, determined at the time of consultation is always recommended for best results.  Dr Beggin is also happy to consult and administer treatments on the same day should you wish to go ahead with treatment.
